The Hackney Proms

Hackney Proms is a charity formed in 2004 to bring more high-quality live music to the cultural life of Hackney. Since then, Hackney Proms have promoted a number of very successful concerts and after a time without any concerts, we are delighted to have relaunched the Hackney Proms with some fantastic concerts at Shoreditch Town Hall and Hackney Showroom.

Please come and join us to hear the uplifting Balkan gypsy band She’Koyokh, on Sunday 7th October at Round Chapel Clapton. Bring your kids, your mates, and your dancing shoes. If you fancy a musical morning that feels like a festival, this is the gig for you.

Hackney Proms is committed to presenting brilliant live music on Sunday mornings around the borough. We want everyone to hear it, and so we have 30 tickets at £1 each available for low-income Hackney residents. Please contact Kate Conway to buy these community tickets: info@hackneyproms.co.uk. We believe everyone deserves music, come get yourself some!

She’Koyokh are a brilliant band. The vibe will be upbeat and the music uplifting. With coffee and croissants on sale, make sure you kick off your Sunday with us.

Hackney Proms are relaxed and informal Sunday morning performances, with coffee and croissants available. Everyone is welcome, from babies to great-grandparents. We present two 40-minute halves with an interval, and concerts finish by 1.15pm.

The beautiful Round Chapel in Lower Clapton. Deconsecrated with a great acoustic, local shops nearby and a playground just up the road. The perfect place to hang out on a Sunday morning.
