Encore Battuta: Old friends, Old instruments with Baroque Masterpieces

Encore Battuta 487Eleven years ago, almost to the very day, period-instrument ensemble Battuta presented the first ever season of concerts at the Hackney Proms.

Now musicians with international reputations, they return with a familiar yet fresh programme of orchestral and chamber masterpieces from the Baroque era, performed in-the-round on historical instruments for all the family to enjoy.

Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto for flute, oboe and violin in G minor, RV 107
Johann Sebastian Bach: Suite No. 6 for solo cello in D major, BWV 1012
Jan Dismas Zelenka: Hipocondrie à 7 Concertanti, ZWV 187
Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto for flute in D major, Op. 10, No. 3, RV 428, “Il gardellino”
Johann Sebastian Bach: Orchestral Suite No.1 in C major, BWV 1066
