Jazz, always a melting pot of many musical ingredients, often wrongly considered overly intellectual and inaccessible, remains at the forefront of creative music making. The Cosmic Jazz Combo will boldly go where many musicians have gone before, revisiting styles ranging from The Blues to Bebop, Ragtime to Rock and Mainstream to Modern, with music from all time greats such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis and many more played on a huge variety of instruments.
The Cosmic Jazz Combo is:
- Joanna Eden ‐ voice and piano;
- Dave Blackmore ‐ saxophones, clarinets and flute;
- Paul Jayasinha ‐ trumpet, flugelhorn and cello;
- Tom Hewins ‐ double bass, electric bass, tuba and trombone;
- Justin Pickett ‐ drums, percussion and rap;
- Gerry Hunt ‐ guitar, banjo, saxophones and clarinet.
